The Bariatric Center of Kansas City, located in Lenexa, Kansas, is the leading center for bariatric weight loss surgery in the greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area and the Midwest. First in the region to receive designation as a Center of Excellence in 2006 by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), we are proudly one of the highest volume weight loss centers in the country with over 8,000 operations performed since we opened in 2002.
 
We have four highly trained Bariatric Surgeons who are available at all times, Dr. Stanley Hoehn, Dr. Brice Hamilton, Dr. Robert Aragon and Dr. Ryan Strain. While most of our procedures are performed at the Shawnee Mission Health Bariatric Surgical Hospital in Lenexa, Kansas, we also perform surgical procedures at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center (SMMC) in Shawnee, Kansas; a nationally accredited medical center designated as a five star facility by The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).  SMMC is the only hospital in the Kansas City metro area to be awarded five stars.
