About
Carolina Vein Specialists is now part of Center for Vein Restoration (CVR) , adding its Greensboro and Winston Salem vein clinics to the CVR network. The physicians and staff at this new CVR Greensboro/Winston Salem vein clinics have decades of collective experience treating symptoms of vein diseases such as varicose veins, spider veins, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and other vein conditions related to chronic venous insufficiency (vein disease).
Vein care doctors at Center for Vein Restoration use the most advanced minimally invasive treatments available today. These include sclerotherapy, radiofrequency ablation, endovenous laser ablation, ambulatory phlebectomy, and other in-office techniques. These modern outpatient treatment methods are far superior to the older vein-stripping methods used in the past.
Vein treatments take approximately an hour or less to complete, and patients can return to their normal routine immediately with few restrictions. No staples or stitches are required because a simple band-aid covers the tiny incisions. Recovery and symptom relief are fast, and there is little to no scarring.
The board-certified physicians at Carolina Vein Specialists, now Center for Vein Restoration, are world-renowned vein specialists, authors, lecturers, and trainers on the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating vein disease. Commitment to patient care goes beyond physician credentials, however. Our entire team works together to provide our patients with a level of comfort and understanding.

Symptoms of vein disease
When the tiny valves in your leg veins fail to circulate blood back to the heart, the result can be leg pain, itching, swelling, cramping, varicose veins, spider veins, feelings of heaviness, skin discoloration, or ulcers that are difficult to heal. Known as venous insufficiency, the vein condition is progressive, meaning it will get worse without treatment.
If you have any one or more of these vein problems, CVR’s experienced vein specialists can help.
Vein treatment types
All vein procedures offered at CVR are performed as an outpatient, take an hour or less to complete, require only local anesthetics, and allow patients to return to normal activities immediately, with few restrictions.
Treatments include VenaSeal, a proprietary medical adhesive that safely closes off varicose veins, and ClariVein, a two-in-one approach that uses an ablation devise to inject a sclerosing agent that closes the vein with a tiny rotating wire tip, which destroys the diseased vein.
Other options to correct diseased veins include radiofrequency ablation, ambulatory phlebectomy, and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy. Only by visiting Dr. Greenberg and Dr. Featherston can you find out what treatment plan is right for you.
