About
My interest in nutrition was first sparked by discussions of food and nutrition throughout my training in Political Science. I found that the way our communities help to shape our eating habits was quite fascinating. A Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and extensive dietetic training later, I have found my passion in helping the food industry make sense of nutrition, allergens, and the political aspects of food.
Recognizing the need for restaurants and food manufacturers to have nutrition services, without necessarily needing a full-time nutritionist, I started Full Plate Nutrition. My goal is to provide excellent nutrition services at a fraction of the cost of having an additional full time employee.
I have been working with the food industry since becoming a Registered Dietitian, helping brands such as Cracker Barrel, O’Charley’s, Village Inn, and Logan’s Roadhouse make sense of nutrition and FDA regulations. I also teach college-level courses in nutrition to culinary students. My background in political science enhances my ability to offer brands a better understanding of food legislation.
