The North Carolina Medical Board (NCMB) exists to protect the people of North Carolina. Our information and services can help your audience strengthen relationships with providers and become more informed healthcare consumers.

The Medical Board protects the public through Licensing -by ensuring that only qualified physicians and physician assists may practice- and through regulation. Regulation involves monitoring currently licensed physicians and PAs and intervening to address problems when required. We want the public to be familiar with the Medical Board and use its resources when needed.
