Skin Cancer Specialists, P.C. is home to the Atlanta Skin Cancer Center and was founded in 2003 by Mark A. Chastain, M.D. in order to provide the people of north Georgia with various services related to the prevention and management of skin cancer. Jennifer L. Buckley, M.D., M.P.H joined the practice shortly thereafter and since that time, we have grown to become a premier dermatology practice with multiple locations serving patients not only from metro Atlanta, but also from north and south Georgia, eastern Alabama, and southern Tennessee. Since our original vision as a practice focused solely on skin cancer, we have slowly broadened our scope to include general dermatology services and a comprehensive array of aesthetic offerings. We have a fully accredited ambulatory surgery center (ASC), which is the largest dermatology-specific ASC in the state of Georgia.

We are known for providing thorough skin cancer screening examinations, the removal of skin growths for biopsy, and the removal of skin cancer utilizing several different techniques, including Mohs micrographic surgery in selected cases. This procedure has the highest cure rate of all methods to treat non-melanoma skin cancer, and it also optimizes the cosmetic and functional results. We are also the first in the Atlanta metro area to offer superficial radiation therapy utilizing the SRT-100, a new, non-surgical option for the management of selected skin cancers.
