Rita Dixon, Board Certified Physician Assistant, joined the Spirax Sarco team as the onsite clinic provider in Blythewood, SC in 2016.

Rita is also a Clinical Assistant Professor and a key member of the new USC Physician Assistant Program in Columbia. She was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of North Florida. She then moved to Charleston, SC in 2006 to attend the Medical University of South Carolina. Rita received her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies in 2008. Since then she has worked as a certified PA with 5 years of experience in Internal Medicine as well as 3 years experience in Cardiology.

Rita recognizes the need for personalized healthcare outside of the more traditional settings, believing in providing the best healthcare to her patients in the most convenient manner possible. She is passionate about empowering patients to be an integral part of their own healthcare needs.

Rita has experience and is very comfortable diagnosing and treating acute/episodic care as well as helping patients understand and manage their chronic diseases. Whatever her role over the years, she has done them with a great deal of passion for delivering the highest quality care to individuals, families, and communities. Rita is excited to work in the Spirax Sarco clinic, getting to know you, and to providing convenient quality healthcare, health and wellness education.
