Texas AM AgriLife Extension Passenger Safety

Passenger Safety KidSafe Initiatives (TxDOT funded) is program providing education in child passenger safety including car seat inspections for caregivers to make sure they are using their car seats correctly.  The project also provides education on the importance of seat belts and the dangers of distracted driving.  Driving simulators and virtual reality is used to provide realistic education on the dangers of distracted driving. Education and resources are provided at no charge to schools, businesses, health fairs and other community events. Currently education is provided online both as interactive presentations and in recorded video format. In-person education will resume when it is safe to do in-person programming.
