The Family Health Centers has provided quality care for local families for more than 35 years.
We are now the largest independent family practice in Western North Carolina. Always at the leading edge of family care, we were early adopters of electronic medical records and we were the first practice in the state to become a Level-3 Certified Patient Centered Medical Home.

Why should you establish with a family doctor?
Unlike physicians who specialize in treating one particular organ or disease, your family physician is uniquely trained to care for you as a whole person, regardless of your age or sex. In addition to diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, your family physician provides routine health screenings and counseling on lifestyle changes in an effort to prevent illnesses before they develop. And, if a health condition arises that requires care from another specialist, your family physician is there to guide you and to coordinate all aspects of your care.
