WHO WE ARE

Laurie DeWine, Doctor of Audiology

Laurie earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree at A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2008. Until recently, audiology has been a master’s degree profession, and Laurie completed her master’s at Ohio State University in 1979. Recent certification changes have been made which require all new graduates to complete an Au.D. program. Laurie was able to continue to practice audiology with her prior certification but felt it was important to obtain additional knowledge about her ever-changing field. Laurie is certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), and holds licensure in the states of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. She has a genuine interest in the work she does as an audiologist and is committed to her profession. She is honest and caring, and strives to improve the communication abilities of all patients with whom she works.

Stefanie Godbey, Audiologist

Stefanie is a part-time audiologist for The Place for Better Hearing. She has been working with hearing-impaired individuals for 13 years, following graduation from the University of Cincinnati with her Masters of Arts degree in 1998. She is certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is licensed in the states of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Stefanie was recently named an American Academy of Audiology Scholar for her outstanding commitment to continuing education. She is truly dedicated to her patients and feels good hearing is the key to excellent communication.
