The PERFECT way to launch your summer!
Imagine: A beautiful walk through Stony Creek Metropark’s trails every Saturday at noon, with public speaker, Health Coach, Personal Trainer, Life Coach and former Corporate Health Director Val Fiott talking in-depth with you and a group of 4 others about lifestyle change, goal-setting, appropriate exercise progression, nutrition and behaviors of healthy living.
This event goes well beyond traditonal, pre-planned presentations in that Val caters each event to the unique needs of the members: Limiting the group to five persons allows Val to personalize the discussions, in an effort to help you learn and set goals based on your body’s current needs. Val’s 30 years of clinical research and coaching experience give you the stats-driven, actionable answers you need to build positive health outcomes and greatly reduce risk for heart problems, joint pain, balance deficits, blood sugar imbalances, cancers and other common health problems.
Why walk?
Studies show that we absorb new information better when we’re in motion! Val inspires and coaches as you enjoy a walk with like-minded new friends, and helps you set new goals to gradually improve your bloodwork, healthspan and longevity. The walk itself will include breaks as needed, and is intended for beginners or for those with moderate fitness. We’ll stay hydrated and manage the pace of the walks accordingly for safety and health.
In addition to the walks, the first five to ten minutes of each Saturday will include these optional health-metric tests:
You’re going to learn a LOT!

This 2-day experiential workshop will give team members a thorough understanding of Laughter Yoga…the history, applications, contra-indications, etc., and much practical experience so that they can confidently talk about and present it to various groups. All aspects of Laughter Yoga will be covered with lots of time for practice and integration.
Laughter Yoga combines unconditional laughter with yogic breathing. Anyone can laugh for no reason, without relying on humor, jokes, or comedy. Laughter is simulated as a body exercise in a group but with eye contact and childlike playfulness, it soon turns into real and contagious laughter. The concept of Laughter Yoga is based on the scientific fact that the body cannot differentiate between fake and real laughter. One gets the same physiological and psychological benefits. Laughter Yoga provides health benefits in a single exercise routine which reduces physical, mental, and emotional stress simultaneously and brings an emotional balance. People can feel the benefits from the very first session.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this training, participants will learn the following:
1. How to apply techniques that create positive behavioral changes in people, organizations, and communities.
2. Incorporate Laughter Yoga techniques in your life and work.
3. Use reliable and sustainable ways to get a daily D.O.S.E. of happiness (Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, Endorphins).
